Marc and Jay’s Amazing Wedding Day

Marc and Jay are not your typical couple – they both work in highly stressful jobs at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. So their wedding day was a chance to let loose and have fun!

Marc contacted me several months before their August wedding date to discuss playing for their wedding reception.  He was particularly keen on a harp not only because of the versatility of the sound but because of how strikingly gorgeous it looks.

The Penthouse at The Loft Lounge was decorated in shades of purple and lilac, each table had tall vases with calla lilies and ribbons, and the room was punctuated with mementoes of the couple’s life together.  The wedding ceremony took place at the Birmingham Registry Office, the guests were then transported via Hummer Limos to the wedding reception.

The harp music floated down the hall and through the corridor so the guests could hear it as they approached the room. Then there were Oooh’s and Aaah’s as Jay and Marc’s family and friends entered the room, realised the music was live and saw all the love put into the decorations.

I played All of Me by John Legand and Wind Beneath My Wings as special requests, then a mixture of classical and popular love songs while everyone mingled, took photographs, and even did a little dancing!  This was definitely a celebration of love and you could feel how much Marc and Jay are adored by their family and friends.

It was an honour to be a part of such a special wedding ceremony between two amazing people; thank you Jay and Marc.  Many blessings to you both for a long and happy marriage.
