Drinks Reception at Hampton Manor

Eileen and Gary booked a big party to renew their wedding vows, with harp music for the pre-drinks reception

What better way to get the entire, extended family together before the holidays than with a wedding vow renewal ceremony? That was clearly the plan when Gary and Eileen decided to book the Hampton Manor the last day of November for their family and friends. The harp fit perfectly at such a lavish event – welcoming the guests to the Gathering Table and Parlour to share a glass of bubbles and catch-up before the ceremony.

Gary mingled with family and friends for nearly 2 hours before it was time for the group to make their way over to The Birches and get settled for the ceremony. With the main house clear of guests, Eileen and her best friend Diane gracefully descended the beautiful staircase and joined me at the harp for a special song: Walk Tall You’re a Daughter of God. This is a song the two ladies grew up with and often sang together, so they laughed and reminisced to the music over a glass of prosecco.

It was a really beautiful pre-wedding reception with several family and friends commenting on the harp and the Irish songs. Even a few of the youngsters tried their hand at playing the harp, which was very sweet.

A huge thank you to Eileen and Gary for having me play the harp for their special day – and I wish them many, many more years of wedded bliss.
