Anniversary Dinner at The Fairlawns Hotel
Judith and Mike celebrated their ruby wedding anniversary with a spectacular meal at The Fairlawns Hotel accompanied by harp music.
It was such a pleasure to finally meet Judith and Mike on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary celebration, as we had emailed back-and-forth several times I felt I already knew them!
The Cedar Room was lavishly decorated with red balloons, white tablecloths, red sparkling confetti and centrepieces. The guests were met with a glass of bubbly and warm hugs by the wedding couple. It was clear the guests were all long-time friends as there was instantly loud, jovial conversation and a lot of laughter followed by more hugs.
The couple requested a mixture of Celtic, pop and folk music so I started off playing Scarborough Fair. Other songs that received smiles, nods and thumbs up were Danny Boy, The Wind Beneath My Wings, The Rose, Carrickfergus, Simple Gifts and When Irish Eyes are Smiling.
I had to rush off to another wedding that afternoon, but not before a lovely hug and appreciation for my “long commute here from Alaska today” line.
Dear Michelle
Attached are the photos from our Ruby Wedding celebration lunch on Saturday, and once again a huge thank you for your beautiful music and your lovely personality!
Everyone loved the harp music and I’m sure they would have liked you to stay longer, but we hope that the afternoon wedding was a great success and just as enjoyable as our event was for us. We had a truly wonderful day and wish it hadn’t been over so quickly!
If at any time in the future we decide to plan another special celebration, we will certainly get in touch. Thank you again.
With kindest regards
Judith and Mike x
