Streetly Crematorium Filled with Harp Music

It was such an honour to play for the commendation ceremony of Mrs Porter at the Streetly Crematorium.

On 14 November 2015 Mrs Porter was commended to God surrounded by her family and friends at the beautiful Streetly Crematorium.

The funeral procession was led by a white carriage pulled by a white stallion, decorated with flowers and feathers. The family followed and entered the crematorium to the celestial sounds of Harp of the Western Wind. The service was full of stories about Mrs Porter, musical tributes and loving memories.

The family exited for the burial site to the sounds of Scarborough Fair. A wonderful tribute to a clearly remarkable woman.

“Dear Michelle, Thank you for being a part of our special ceremony to say good bye to my mother. She would have been so pleased to hear your harp music, and as I said before, I knew you were meant to play for us the minute I saw you and your harp together. You are a professional and natural at the harp. Thank you also for the CD, we will cherish the recording of these songs forever.” Ian and Karen
