Surprise for Golden Wedding Anniversary party
Carol and Ray’s daughter-in-law booked me as a surprise entertainer for their 50th wedding anniversary party at the National Motorcycle Museum.
Upon arrival I was met by the happy couple, who seemed thrilled to meet me. It turned out they had been told of the harp the night before, so while not shocked, they were very excited.
As the harp needs time to acclimate and for tuning, I had a rare few minutes for Ray and Carol to show me through their picture display introducing me to their family and close friends.
Once tuned I performed several favourites, such as Send In The Clowns, Moon River, It’s Now or Never, and Danny Boy. The guests talked gaily over the music and everyone had a wonderful time.
The National Motorcycle Museumis a beautiful venue for an intimate party or event, and despite the steep stairwell, the acoustics are great and the staff very kind, professional and helpful.
