Boase Wedding at Bank House Hotel

Christine and Richard got married on a cruise ship in the Canary Islands in December, then celebrated with local family and friends at their Wedding Blessing Ceremony and Reception on 24 March 2018 at Bank House Hotel in Worcester.

The engaged couple contacted me early in their wedding preparations to enquire about harp music for their wedding blessing celebration.  They told me the lovely story of how they met on a cruise two years before and were going to get married on a cruise ship, but then celebrate their marriage with a nautical-themed party.

I set my harp up in the old part of the hotel, the Sportsmans Bar, at 4:30pm ready to play upbeat music for the drinks reception.  The photographer, Paul of Curtis Photography set up a slideshow on the monitor of photos from the wedding on the cruise ship, accompanied by Rather Be by Clean Bandit, When Irish Eyes are Smiling, an Alpine Waltz and Spanish Domino.

Then the quick move into the Garden Room to welcome the bridal couple into their wedding breakfast to Hornpipe from Handel’s Water Music.

The wedding breakfast was an elaborate 3-course buffet meal accompanied by Canon in D, Fur Elise, Songbird, Wind Beneath My Wings and Lakme’s Flower Duet.
