Drayton Manor Hotel – a gift for Celeste and Lee
One week before their wedding I received a call from the best man, “I’d like to hire you as a gift for my friends’ wedding.” And then the fun began!
Celeste and Lee have been sweethearts since school, and when you meet them you can see they are so much in love and make a beautiful couple. Within days of booking me, Celeste and her mom were at my house listening to me play different songs so we could select what they wanted played for the signing of the register, recessional and prelude music.
The bridal processional was a special request from the groom: You’re Beautiful by Chester See. It was a new song for me but with a week to learn it I wasn’t scared (well, sort of!).
Their wedding day and reception were captured by the lovely photographer Just Rebecca, an engaging wedding photographer who ensured the couple got the all important shots during the ceremony AND on the carousel. It was the fantastic Drayton Manor Hotel, after all! As it was Christmas the guests were ushered out of the ceremony hall humming the tunes ‘Deck the Halls’ and ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’.
“Thank you for your lovely harp music Michelle, it was beautiful and a special addition to our wedding. The processional song was perfect!” Lee and Celeste Slimm
My favourite photo from the day was captured by one of the guests and shared on Facebook: a very nervous Lee looking up the aisle waiting for Celeste to come!
Thanks to both of them for letting me a part of their beautiful wedding day, and to groomsman Peter for hiring me – what a fantastic wedding gift!
