Brides Brave January Snow

I was beginning to think bridal fairs were a thing of the past, an old-fashioned way to gather information about wedding suppliers and get inspiration for your big day.  And maybe they are, but clearly brides with an affinity for designer and vintage ideas are still firm believers in the Fair concept.

I was lucky enough to get a place as harpist at the Designer Vintage Bridal Fair in January, an event that exceeded my expectations despite the adverse weather conditions.  As you probably remember, for two weeks in January we experienced the heaviest snowfall in years.  But nearly 350 brides and grooms, with family in tow, enjoyed a glass of bubbly and long talks with the wedding suppliers.

The acoustics in the Town Hall are phenomenal, and from my centre stage position my beautiful Wurlitzer harp practically glowed in the spotlight.

The Town Hall is now open to host weddings and wedding receptions, and as one of the newest and most unique venues I’ve seen in Birmingham, I’m sure they’ll soon have a waiting list like many of the popular hotels.  And for music lovers it’s a dream as the harp music from the stage easily travels throughout the room, yet never overwhelms the conversation.

If you are considering harp music for your wedding, I am offering a discount to the first three brides who book after attending the Designer Vintage Bridal Fair.  Give me a call now to discuss your special day.
