Fiona and Andrew celebrate at Aston Wood Golf Club

A fairy-tale story complete with wedding harpist, sparkling champagne, speeches that made the guests laugh AND cry, and intermittent sunshine for the outdoor photographs.

Fiona and Andrew first heard me play at the Aston Wood Golf Club wedding fayre.  As they had already decided upon a church wedding in Four Oaks, they were in planning and budgeting mode for their drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening celebration.

On the wedding day, they wanted their guests to be met by the beautiful harp music for their drinks reception.  I was able to keep them all humming and toe-tapping with a mixture of popular pieces including Take Me to Church, All of Me, Wonderful Tonight, Rather Be and Perfect by Ed Sheeran.

Following drinks, the guests were seated for dinner and then entertained for nearly an hour of heartfelt and downright funny speeches.  The groom gave away certificates to his groomsmen for their shenanigans on the stag weekend, and a certificate to his new bride for putting up with him.

To accompany the wedding breakfast I played classical pieces including Fur Elise, Canon in D and Moonlight Sonata interspersed with the couple’s Disney favourites: Beauty and the Beast, A Whole New World and Married Life from Up.

A huge thank you to Elaine, Lauren and the team at Aston Wood Golf Club for looking after me and being such a great wedding team to work with.  And to Fiona and Andrew – Congratulations on your wedding, may you have many years of happiness and health!  Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
